- בְּסִיסַי, בְּסִיסִית, בְּסָסִיתf. (= בָּסִיס; בסס) foot-stool, base, stand, step.Pl. בְּסִיסָאוֹת Ar., בְּסִיסִיּוֹת, בְּסָסִיּוֹת. Kel. XXIV, 6 שלש בְּסָ׳ הן (Ar. בסי׳) there are three stands, one before the bed (step) Num. R. s. 10, beg. בסיסיות, v. בָּסִיס.
